Gm!
No, this is not a drill…the WASD newsletter is back!!!
Over the past several months, I’ve been heads down and focused on building out WASD’s guild, which now has 97 members playing 13 onchain games.
We have an awesome group that’s accomplished a lot - We even won Primodium v0.11!
(Btw, we are, and always will be, recruiting new members).
The onchain gaming ecosystem has also grown dramatically since my last piece.
Redstone launched on mainnet along with many individual games, such as This Cursed Machine, Duper, Biomes, and Sky Strife, while Pirate Nation migrated chains and dropped their PIRATE token.
Developers are also beginning to build bots and plugins on top of games like Primodium and Kamigotchi, while guilds like ours and questing platforms like ggQuest serve as hubs for the exponentially increasing number of onchain gamers.
I’m more bullish than ever on this space and think it's time to begin covering it here once again.
To start, I’ll release weekly pieces that’ll update you on what’s happening in the onchain gaming world and what WASD is up to.
But perhaps, like old times, I’ll sprinkle some occasional longer pieces from time to time ;)
Now, without further ado, here’s:
A primer on the week’s onchain gaming news
The games WASD has been playing
Upcoming events from around the ecosystem

Primodium is a space MMO built using MUD.
WASD is currently second in the active round (v0.11.1), of which we’re ~75% through. Coming off our title in v0.11, we’ve spent much of this round building and improving our internal alliance infra.
A major highlight in this round was the release of Andromeda, the first WASD-sponsored plugin built by our guild member Duck.
Andromeda provides data on each alliance's resources and fleets, and automatically calculates our internal quest rewards based on a player’s in-game actions.
I hope everyone finds value in Andromeda and the many other Primodium plugins WASD will ship over the coming rounds.
Force Prime is a strategy game built using Dojo.
Force Prime is currently in the middle of “Grand Season III.” This multi-week event introduces new gameplay mechanics, allowing players to complete campaign maps, compete in tournaments, and earn season points.
Several WASD players are participating in the season, including Hope, oVermillion, and JC (djizus on the leaderboard).
Each has put in a strong performance. JC is first in season points, while Hope and oVermillion are 10th and 11th, respectively. JC has also won multiple tournaments.
GG to all three players, and stay tuned for how WASD will get more involved in Force Prime!

A look at Small Brain’s latest game.
Elements.fun is a crafting game built by Small Brain Games.
Inspired by titles like Infinite Craft and Little Alchemy, your goal in the game is (as the name suggests) to earn ETH by discovering elements.
Elements are squares represented by ERC-1155 NFTs and range from animals like Cats and Ducks to politicians like Trump and Biden.
To begin the game, players will purchase one of five different packs of “starter elements.” After doing so, you’ll drag, drop, and combine these elements into the canvas on the screen to “discover” new ones.
If you’re the first player to discover an element, you’ll be credited with a “new discovery.”
In addition, you’ll also be eligible to earn some ETH, as 80% of the ETH spent on packs is distributed to players proportional to the amount of discoveries they have.
Elements launched on July 30, and is currently playable on Base.
Elements is a simple yet entertaining game.
It has a sense of humor in typical Small Brain fashion, as the element combinations are quite funny. For example, I discovered “Quackgate” and “President Toad” by combining Ducks and Frogs with different elements.
I also like how the game is financialized and that you can earn some ETH.
Despite this, Elements is a basic game, so players looking for something more immersive may want to turn their sights elsewhere.
Nonetheless, I’d definitely recommend checking it out and to see if you can discover some elements!
